Can this be true?

Oh goodness me , look at his tail and his paws the size of saucers !

If it's true can we get one Henry, Foxx and Ian? I'll promise to look after him (and make sure he doesn't eat Matilda)

Saras' valve caps

Sara has wee skull valve caps ! Amazing!

So Kenny Powers right now..

On Saturday i met my friend Andrew and went with 25 of his other friends to the baseball! We watched the LA Dodgers vs Houston. LA won, Manny Ramirez was amazing. I ate a hot dog and drank a beer ! It was fun times.

Northwest rules ok!

I've had a busy week and a bit and have been slack on the old blogging. Last week i went back to the North West - Seattle and Portland - and deepened my love of all things northwestern!
First up i went to Portland to visit my mate Aaron. I had a great time there. It's a little city but it seems to have everything you would want and need, great bike paths, seasonal weather and friendly local cats ! Went to an amazing waterfall to be touristy and the scenery reminded me of Loch Ness. It was nice to feel at home. After that I took a beautiful train ride to Seattle to hang with my second family. We managed to sneak in a bit of window shopping, bike riding and afternoon aperos, went to see our friend Joe's band and hung out with no 9. I was really sad when i had to come back to LA ! I really think I need to put it on the 'move here' list for sure !

Jet Blue Airways rule. Free Bike in july and you could watch the Tour whilst you flew!

Portland is pretty and bridgey

Mac & Cheese place where they turn your leftovers into weird tinfoil sculptures? I'm in!

Cazuehla aka big bowl of booze.
The PDX shot - accessible through vaguely scary walk past local mission.

Sara lent me her Nishiki (sorry Jim) How pretty. I am going to get me some gears!

Why, hello Sea- town!

I don't know about you but i like to get my espresso and my salmon at the same time . It makes perfect sense .

Sara & Mei

No 9, you break my heart with your cuteness !

If this is real ...

.. then i want one !

SNL

Susan Surandon & Justin Timberlake are officially amazing. This was on Saturday Night Live in the USA for Mothers' day and its hilarious. I have put the mum friendly version on here (sorry Mum, i don't condone the swearing either!)

Portland and Seattle

I am riding my bike this week in both. Amazing week and I have been making some new friends too ! Here they are:
Frankie from Portland, like mewing, having a tail like a puffa fish, and playing with his brother Dante
No 9, from Seattle, likes dressing as Yoda, talking very loudly and having a soft fur that could get him into the cat version of a L'oreal advert.

Joan of Arc - 'Chainmall' workout!

I was reminded of this clip today from one of my favourite films of the 80's (and of all time) Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. I always wanted to be Joan as she was so little and so tough, she rules !

Skateboarding and Sheep

Yesterday i hit the Maloof Money Cup at the annual OC Country Fair. The contest was pretty mental, a lot of money had been thrown down and it showed. It was the most consumer driven event i have ever been to, with every inch of the showgrounds sponsored and a crowd that was showing off loads of money and even more flesh. We got into the 'you're almost important' area so we had a pretty sweet view. I got to see a big spin in real life which was cool and experienced some of the most amazing people watching i could have hoped for. When the skateboarding was over we went to the petting zoo and to the airbrush t shirt stand to get our own shirts done. It was certainly a far cry from my local Highland Games (I'm excited it has a website though!).
Cause celebs can't park their G-Wagon next to your one!
Photography marred by over excessive security who liked you to only sit down. It reminded me of when i went to see Metallica at Wembley Stadium in the seated section..
I shall neither confirm nor deny that i was overly excited by these wee fellas .
Roseheart air spray t shirt designed by moi? Yes please !
I had no interest in this stand as i don't like sweet things ..
Today I am mostly hitting Venice with the bike and then dismantling it to head to the north west again for a few days. Can't wait!

Casting for my movie...

Kat Dennings rules !
Have a I found my leading lady? She impressed me from that episode in Sex and the City where she was a 14 year old socialite who hired Samantha to do her birthday party. Definitely a comedy actress to look out for in the future..

Matilda is all grown up !

I know she is Ian and Helens and not mine but I can't wait to see Matilda cat again! Sources say she has been busy eating flies and digging up the balcony garden so i am glad that nothing has changed. I just hopes she remembers me when i get home or I will be heartbroken..

Orange 20

Yesterday i finally got around to dropping Fixed Mag 3 copies over to Orange 20 (sorry Ian and Andy!). I visited the shop a year ago and its now moved next door to a way bigger premises. I take this to be a sign of really good bike times.
They had a really good selection of bikes & bits in there and all the staff seemed really nice and friendly. I didn't stay too long due to a self imposed shopping ban but did take myself over the road for a vanilla/coconut gelato since i apparently like sweet things now !
Orange 20, how you have grown ...

Scoops ! Best Gelato ever

With the willpower seemingly intact, I then hit Melrose Avenue for some window shopping! Bad idea. I managed to purchase some awesome 32 dollar boots and a silk top in an amazing vintage store which were so cheap it felt rude not to buy . As the shopping guilt struck home, i stopped for a iced mint tea (the best invention ever) before my drive home at 1 mph on the 1405.

The House Bunny Rules!

Tonight i am mostly rewatching the House Bunny ! I have a long standing love of romantic comedies and Anna Faris is up there with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey in my book (Katherine Heigl and even the Bullock get in there too on a good day). I thought Anna Faris was brilliant in Lost In Translation and she is amazing in this ! Its got all the rom-com essentials: a love interest, a bit of jeopardy, an evil hot chick and most of all, a happy ending. If you haven't seen this, Nick and Norahs' Infinite Playlist or 27 Dresses then, get involved !

20 mile ride and a 2 dollar burrito

Tonight I went on a 20 mile loop ride of Costa Mesa and the Back Bay. Its a nice trail ride away from the traffic madness so I like it a lot . W stopped at a tea house afterwards and i felt very LA ordering some fancy white tea! The ride tonight was super relaxed and it reminded me that i forgot to blog about the journey that we did down PCH from Newport to Laguna beach. The PCH bike lane is at the side of a dual carriageway and, although it was only 13 miles each way it felt about 100 when i realised we were riding half a metre away from cars traveling at 65 mph. It was pretty terrifying, especially since i decided to roll without my clamp on, there were blind corners and crazy drivers. We did good though and were rewarded with an amazing view and a beautiful sunset .

Someones' got a new bike !

Melles' new bike made it across the pond and had a great time riding around. Here she is at her namesake garage. Next time, we will go to Mel's diner in Hollywood and get the partner picture ! Can't wait to ride with all the girls again in London, I miss you!

Goodbye Banana stand

Yesterday we checked out of the Banana Stand. For me its back to Costa Mesa and for my boy its back to London. We have had the best time ever here and im going to miss him so much, although i know I'll be back in London soon and the rest of the summer will be amazing. We will be starting a high rolling cee-lo championship and barbecuing as many sweet potatoes as possible!

Tourist O Clock

Today was tourist-ville as the Henry has to go back to London on Monday. We drove up to the Hollywood hills to find the sign and weren't disappointed. I have to say i like the hills and one day, after writing my highly successful screenplay shall most probably live there.

I was highly impressed with the result of the boys' first jumpshot.

Hindered by inappropriate footwear, my jumping was limited.

Hit Hollywood boulevard, pretty sad to not be staying in the Roosevelt! MJs' star is now a ridiculous shrine. Poor MJ, so talented yet so bonkers. Rest in peace, fella.

After a wander, we went cheeseburger hunting! Thank god i ride bikes a ton, you'd have to roll me home otherwise !

Diana Ross was deemed cool enough for a photo opp. I love her .

Couple of hours on the i405 of doom and then back to Newport where we were way too tired to ride the Back Bay again. Tomorrow is holidays time so we going to enjoy our first Independence Day with bikeys & beach and shall be going no where near a car or a freeway for at least 3 days !
